आर.बी.आई. के पूर्व गवर्नर उर्जित पटेल बने ए.आई.आई.बी. के उपाध्यक्ष 

- भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक के पूर्व गवर्नर उर्जित पटेल को बीजिंग स्थित बहुपक्षीय वित्त पोषण संस्थान एशियाई अवसंरचना निवेश बैंक (ए.आई.आई.बी.) का उपाध्यक्ष नियुक्त किया गया है। 

- वह डी. जे. पांडियन का स्थान लेंगे। पांडियन दक्षिण एशिया में ए.आई.आई.बी. के सॉवरेन और गैर-सॉवरेन वित्तपोषण के प्रमुख हैं। 

- भारत ए.आई.आई.बी. के संस्थापक सदस्यों में से एक है।  बैंक में चीन के बाद भारत का सबसे अधिक वोटिंग हिस्सा है। 

- बैंक के प्रमुख चीन के पूर्व उप-वित्तमंत्री जिन लिक्यून हैं। 

- 58 वर्षीय पटेल का कार्यकाल तीन साल का होगा। 


Former RBI Governor Urjit Patel appointed AIIB Vice President

- Former RBI  Governor Urjit Patel has been appointed vice-chairman of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), a Beijing-based multilateral funding institute. 

- He will replace D.J. Pandian. Pandian is the heads of AIIB's Sovereign and Non-Sovereign financing in South Asia. 

- India is one of the founding members of AIIB. India has the highest voting share in the bank after China. 

- The bank is headed by former Chinese Deputy Finance Minister Jin Liqun. 

- 58-year-old Patel will have a tenure of three years.
